Terrific Tag Rugby

On Thursday 12th February we hosted a Year 3/4 tag rugby tournament here at Winyates Primary School. We welcomed other schools from across our group for a round robin event.

In the first match we played against Paston Ridings Primary School and the children started with a bang, securing a 7-2 victory. Next up was a match against Orton St Johns Church School and once again our team prevailed, winning 8-3. Finally, we played Barnack Primary School in a winner takes all face off. This was a really tight game but our children truly showed courage and excellence to see off the competition to win 8-6.

Overall this meant that our children finished in 1st place and really made us proud. Well done to all of the team!
