YEAR 5

Mr Mucklin
Ever since I was young I wanted to help inspire the future generation and make them the best that they could possibly be. As well as learning, I enjoy researching about history and supporting the greatest football team in the world - Peterborough United!

Mrs Proud
I love seeing children develop as they realise their potential, becoming confident and independent as they take on new challenges, whether in or outside of school. In my previous career I volunteered as a reading buddy and a governor at my son's school which is when I realised how wonderful it was working with children, watching their curiosity and learning grow so I decided to retrain and become a teacher. I am determined to give the children in my class the best opportunities during their time with me at school. I am always inspired by how much we learn from them too as we see how they show kindness, courage and determination every day.

Mrs Cannon
I absolutely loved my school days - they really can be the best days of your life! School has certainly changed since I was at primary school, but the end goal is still the same. My job is so rewarding and I enjoy watching the children of Winyates succeed. As an adult I am always learning new things myself, so I understand the importance of education. I am lucky to work in such an amazing school. When I'm not at work, I will most definitely have my head in a book. Reading is my biggest passion in life and I am constantly adding books to my collection. I also have a very spoilt dog waiting for me at home every day, who I love spending time with.
Supporting your child at home in maths
We know that sometimes supporting you child in Maths can be difficult when you don't know the method they have been taught in school. Therefore the year 6 team across St John's, Winyates and Barnack have created 6 quick 'how to' videos for some key skills your children will need in their arithmetic. These may help when supporting children with their homework or just some extra practise!
