Children Meditating

Thrive is a therapeutic approach to help support children with their emotional and social development. Thrive promotes emotional and social growth by building positive relationships between a child and their peers and helps them to explore and understand their feelings through various activities.

Thrive practitioners are fully trained and qualified. Their aim is to remove any barriers to learning or wellbeing and to have happy, healthy pupils.

Thrive support can be requested by parents if a child is going through a particularly difficult time in their life or if they have concerns about their childs mental health or emotional wellbeing.

A Thrive assistant will help children learn and understand their emotions and respect feelings of those around them. Some of the areas Thrive may work on:

  • Loss and bereavement

  • Parent separation

  • Support through serious illness

  • Self esteem

  • Social skills

  • Emotions

  • Friendship issues

  • Anger management

  • Behaviour

  • Anxiety
