Peterborough Hockey Festival

Our entire Year 5 class were lucky enough to attend the Peterborough Hockey Festival on 21st September. This took place at the City of Peterborough Hockey Club, which meant we were fortunate enough to play on the official Peterborough pitch.

Once there our children split into small groups and took part in 8 different skill sessions. These were great at helping us to learn how to play hockey, and allowed us to improve the skills that we have already learnt across the years in school.

This was a great festival that all of the children enjoyed.

If your child is interested in taking up hockey outside of the school they can join City of Peterborough Hockey club on a Sunday morning from 10-11am for their junior hockey sessions. The first session is free and children can borrow a stick when they are there. The City of Peterborough Hockey Club is located next to Peterborough Hospital at Bretton Gate.
