The children used their mathematical thinking throughout their play and outdoor learning as they counted, compared, measured, spotted patterns, and explored shapes around them.
The children searched for numbers in the environment, compared different sizes and quantities, created repeating patterns using natural objects, and used mathematical language during their investigations and play. They also explored shape, space, and measure through building, sorting, and problem-solving activities both indoors and outdoors.
Through these hands-on experiences, the children are developing confidence using maths in meaningful everyday situations while building their communication, reasoning, and critical thinking skills. ✨
