Year 3 pupils explored how to design and build structures that can withstand earthquakes. They learned that buildings need to be strong yet flexible, and used a range of materials to create models that could absorb impact and reduce the risk of collapse.
By testing and improving their designs, the children developed their problem-solving skills and gained an understanding of how engineers create safer, more resilient buildings.
