Last Friday, we took part in a virtual inter-school netball competition against Orton St Johns and Barnack Primary School. Every class got to contribute to this competition by participating in different netball shooting activities that were age appropriate. For Reception this involved shooting into a hoop on the floor, while Year 1 and 2 aimed to score points by hitting the netball post or ring. In Key Stage 2, children had to score in the hoop to gain points with the Year 3 and 4 aiming at a slightly lower hoop than the Year 5+6 children.
Now that the scores have been calculated I am delighted to announce that Winyates managed to finish in 1st place! Well done to all of the children, who should be really proud of their efforts.
