Spring is on it's way!

Writer: Mr Carson-DoughtyMr Carson-Doughty

Spring is arriving and our Forest School outdoor areas are turning green! There are signs of Spring everywhere with bulbs growing, buds appearing on trees and the sun being out! The children worked really hard last week to move topsoil and bark around the site ready to plant seeds in the polytunnel this spring. Year 1 worked especially hard shovelling soil into the wheelbarrow and filling up the raised beds. This season is also a great time to check on things we have already planted. Year 3 showed care to the trees we planted at the back of the school field last year by weeding and adding bark around their base. Thank you to all the care and work put in by everyone in school last week and we are looking forward to having everyone join us again in the woods!
