I have always wanted to be a teacher and used to pretend to take a register when I came home from school. My mother is a lecturer and I always watched her lectures in awe. I love being in the classroom and seeing the growth in children both as learners and into young people. 

I started volunteering at Winyates while my children were here in the late 1990's. I joined Winyates as a teaching assistant in 2003 and have never looked back. I love seeing the children grow in knowledge and confidence. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they achieve what they thought they couldn't do.
