Year 6 had their first school trip of the year at Cadbury's World as part of the topic they've been learning about - The Mayans. With such an early start the expectation was a quiet journey with children catching up on sleep - but it wasn't the case! The children were really excited and played games all the way. We started our experience by playing in the African Experience playground before heading off for our educational talk about the Mayans. The children were engaged and were impressing the education speaker with their knowledge. After lunch we had the 4D Cinema Experience which we all enjoyed immensely. The chairs shook, the wind blew and Tyrone entertained us with a running commentary throughout. It was hilarious and well worth it. We then went on our tour of the factory which included writing names in chocolate and tempering. The tour was full of interactive activities of different sorts, from car rides through the Bean world to dancing in the music section; and learning about how Cadburys started to eating melted chocolate with our own choice of mixed whilst watching the Cadbury Staff make the chocolates. To finish off we went wild in the shop buying chocolate and goodies before a quieter, yet happy journey back home. A huge thank you to Alison Higgins and Shirley Corleys who were amazing support on the trip and made it such a wonderful day.
