Stibbington Evacuee Day – Tuesday 15th January 2019

Year 6 immersed themselves in the life of an evacuee child during World War 2. They experienced what it was like to step off the train and meet their new guardians. They were taught lessons from the 1940s and a variety of games popular in this era. This experience will now contribute to their writing.

Cadbury’s World Trip – Tuesday 11th September 2018

Year 6 enjoyed a day at Cadbury World. They arrived and had a tour of the factory. Here they learnt how chocolate is produced today and they experienced the technique of tempering. After lunch we learnt how the Mayans linked to chocolate making and the influence they had. To finish the day, we all enjoyed a 4D cinema experience. All of the children’s new knowledge will help them throughout their topic this term.
